Scott's Performance
Scott did have his glove wired so that it would light itself, but right before the performance, it got a short so he had to use the candle. I think it still worked just fine.
Jacob Riding His Bike
Scott taught him the basics over Spring Break and then I've been taking him out in the evenings on a smaller bike. Today, he finally rode his own bike all the way to the stop sign and back! He is so jazzed! !
Elizabeth's First Ballet Recital
Elizabeth is taking ballet from a girl in our ward that does a great job with her. There are two other little girls in the class. Last Friday we went to the church to have a "recital." The girls did great. It was so much fun to watch.
The First Puppet Show
I thought I would include the script just in case you couldn't understand them. Sarah wrote this all by herself. She even typed it up on the computer by herself. I touched it up just a little and helped her to put it in script form, but other than that it is all hers.

The End
The boys of my new Pack!
Hello family! This is Scott. As some of you know, I'm helping with the founding of a new Cub Scout pack, Pack 3550, in South Dallas. This is a very poor area with a history of lots of crime and gang activity. Recently it has started to improve thanks to a non-profit, Christian organization coming in, purchasing properties, creating out-reach programs, etc. A friend of mine in the Church works as a police officer in the area. He got the idea of starting a Cub Scouting program there, but needed help as he had little experience with the program. So he recruited me, we contacted the local council, and voila! Pack 3550 was born.
We're still a small pack, but starting to grow. (We just got our first parent volunteer!) Anyway, I took a video of the boys performing a skit with paper bag hand puppets and promised I'd put it on the family blog for everyone to see (anyone recognize the skit?). Sorry about the camera angle, I'll do better next time. Hope you enjoy!
Jacob's Violin Concert
We had a lot of fun at Jacob's violin concert. Becca loved it especially. Right before they would start, when everyone in the audience was quietly waiting, Becca would say in her loudest voice, "Ready, Set, Go!" She really thinks she runs this world!
Who Needs a Playset?
The kids have found some uses for the branch that fell in our backyard during the last snow storm. They've been playing on it for the last three days and still can't wait to go outside. It is great!
Becca's Crawling!
Becca is crawling now!
But she didn't stop there. She is also pulling up on things. Nothing is safe anymore!
Clip of Rebecca
Rebecca Loves to talk.
We have had to go to formula and Rebecca is doing really well with it. She actually has happy moments now when I can put her down!
She also really likes the hair dryer for some reason. She can be crying her head off and I will turn on the hair dryer and she immediately stops, but as soon as I turn it back off, she starts right up again :)
We got a new van
Scott and I went on a date to an early movie and then were planning on going to dinner after that. Well, we got too full on popcorn so we had a couple of hours of babysitting left and nothing to do, so we went to price mini vans. Well, pricing turned to buying. We were able to talk the price down enough that it was worth it. Since we don't need the van until the baby is born, we were perfectly willing to just walk away, but the salesman really didn't want us to. We were talked up $1000 from the $5000 that we started with, but they were talked down $5000 from the $10,000, so I think we did o.k. and we were able to pay cash. It is old, a 1999 Toyota Sienna, but we have had such great service from the Toyota that we have, that it should still be a good vehicle for us for a while and it came with a report of all the services that it has had, so it has been taken care of. The kids think it is the greatest thing. My main problem with it is that it smells like old people, but my sense of smell is a little heightened at the moment.
